Well. This is my second Jennifer Ashley novel ... and like the first I had read, I didn't really get a 'WOW THIS IS GREAT' feeling when I was done. Yeah, it was okay, the story line was interesting but the character of Ian drove me BONKERS!! It was just weird to me for some reason. The fact that he doesn't look at people ... his whole character just left something to be desired. I can't really put my finger on it. Normally I wouldn't give a series another shot after feeling so ... eh ... about a book. But I loved the characters of his brothers, so I want to read about them. I don't know. Maybe I shouldn't. Maybe I should just chuck it and move on. But Ashley isn't a bad writer, I just think that sometimes some of the stuff is boring or too weird to me. Hopefully the next one is a good one ... otherwise, I'll have to throw them out the window.
